 What is needling ?

Electro Collagen Induction Therapy (ECIT),Dry Tattooing, Needle Dermabrasion,Intra-dermabrasion, Dermal Remodeling, Skin Remodeling, Percutaneous Collagen Induction, Multitrepannic Collagen Actuation, Intradermabrasion

These all mean the same thing!

What is this treatment used for?

  • Most widely used for Wrinkles. Better than Botox and a lot cheaper.
  • Nasiolabial Folds
  • Stretch Marks. Even huge ones left over from pregnancy.
  • Skin Laxity
  • Enlarged Pores
  • Acne, Chicken Pox, Surgical scars, or any scar that you want to be rid of anywhere on the body.
  • Hair loss. This treatment will regrow and thicken hair.
  • Burn trauma

How does this work? ~

No Chemicals, Toxins, or Poisons are used it is a completely natural process!  Your own collagen rushes to the site that is treated to heal, close and protect the skin thus making it fill in and treat the area for a smoother appearance to the treated skin.  Healing starts from the inside and works its way towards the surface. This procedure incites Collagen production and after treatment your own Collagen rushes into the treatment site to fill in treated areas, building layer upon layer filling the treated skin. The wonderful thing is that all this happens instantly after treatments.

Skin Needling can be safely performed on all skin colors and types.  There is no risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation (pigmentation of the skin as a result of skin trauma) as the melanocytes remain, like the dermis, intact during Skin Needling.  This is a major distinguishing safety feature when comparing skin needling and other invasive procedures that are used to treat deep lines and depressed scars; such as laser resurfacing, deep chemical peels, Botox, and dermabrasion.

Improvements have been noted to be approximately 80% better than other treatments and at a fraction of the cost.  Recovery time is also greatly reduced from 1-5 days.  Depending on the treatment and the area it was performed.

Needling can also be performed on almost any part of the body, and on any skin type, whereas laser and chemical peels are limited to the face and prohibited on darker pigmented skin.

How many treatments will I need ?

Clients seeking treatment for facial wrinkles and scarring or to tighten up the skin, respond best to a series of three treatments spaced approximately 3 weeks apart.  The type of equipment used to perform the needling will depend on each client’s specific needs and area needing treatment.  The most popular full face treatment is performed using a needling pen with a cartridge of 12 micro needles able to deliver thousands collagen inducing micro-injuries each minute.

The results are individual and will vary. Most will love the difference after their first treatment, but may want more to achieve their goal. It will also vary in the type of skin you want to remodel and/or resurface. One treatment may be all you want to create that smooth appearance.

 Alopecia Areata

Is a highly unpredictable, autoimmune skin disease resulting in the loss of hair on the scalp and elsewhere on the body. This common but very challenging and capricious disease effects approximately 1.7 percent of the population overall, including more than 5 million people in the United states alone. Due to the fact that much of the public is still not familiar with alopecia areata, the disease can have a profound impact on one’s life and functional status, both at work, at school, and often home. In alopecia areata, the affected hair follicles are mistakenly attacked by the person’s own immune system (white blood cells), resulting in the arrest of the hair growth stage. Alopecia areata usually starts with one or more small, round, smooth bald patches on the scalp and can progress to total scalp hair loss (alopecia totalis) or complete body hair loss(alopecia universalis). Alopecia areata occurs in males and females of all ages and races; however, onset most often begins in childhood and can be psychologically devastating. Although not life-threatening, alopecia areata is most certainly life-altering, and its sudden onset, recurrent episodes, and unpredictable course have a profound psychological impact on the lives of those disrupted by this disease.  Skin Needling can help regrow the hair.  Giving a person back their thick beautiful hair that they once had!  Not only does the regrowth of hair give them this back but also their self-esteem and making them able to lead a functional life again.
